SUMMARY:
Are you passionate about logistics and skilled at organising complex operations? We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner to oversee the operations of an agri-manufacturing concern in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs!

POSITION INFO:
In this role, you will be responsible for creating production schedules to ensure smooth operations. You will also manage the process of outsourced orders efficiently and maintain proper storage and stock keeping of inventories. Co-ordinating regular cycle counts and year-end stock take will be crucial to maintaining accurate inventory levels.

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will play a key role in creating, maintaining, and adjusting BOM’s (Bill of Materials) for current product groups. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining item routing to ensure streamlined operations. Managing master data parameters will be essential to maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.

Collaboration is an integral part of this role. You will liaise with customer service to provide exceptional support and work closely with the product manager to determine accurate forecasts and safety stock levels. Consulting with relevant stakeholders, you will gain insights into market requirements and develop a robust supply plan.

Communication is vital, and as a Supply Chain Planner, you will effectively communicate supply and production constraints to keep everyone informed. Monitoring forecast versus sales and analysing gaps will allow you to make data-driven decisions to optimise supply chain operations.

To qualify for this position, you should have a degree/diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Planning. You should also possess 2+ years of working knowledge of SAP and have relevant experience in inventory management and planning in a manufacturing/supply chain environment. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Excellent analytical, numeracy, and Excel skills are a must, along with strong communication skills in both written and verbal Afrikaans and English.
