A well-established company within the agricultural and operational sector is seeking an experienced Systems Developer with strong SQL and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central expertise to join their IT team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing business-critical systems while supporting integration, automation, and operational efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities Development & Customisation
- Design, develop, and customise solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database views
- Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and other systems
- Support automation and system enhancement initiatives
System Maintenance & Support
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to Business Central users
- Monitor system performance, data integrity, and security
- Apply system updates, patches, and upgrades with minimal operational disruption
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Analyse operational processes and recommend system improvements
- Produce technical documentation and user guides for developed solutions
Collaboration & Training
- Work closely with IT, finance, operations, and business stakeholders
- Train and support end-users on new systems and functionalities
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field advantageous
- Proven experience as a Systems Developer or similar role
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in SQL development
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV
- Strong SQL skills including T-SQL, SSMS, database design, and optimisation
- Experience with APIs, web services, and system integrations
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and business processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel when required
- Must reside in Heidelberg or surrounding areas
Advantageous Experience
- Power BI, Power Automate, or Azure exposure
- Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS or Jet Reports
- Exposure to finance, manufacturing, supply chain, or operational environments
