SUMMARY:
Join a leading consultancy in a senior capacity, deliver technical expertise and contributing to key and strategic business-related aspects while leading with technical knowledge and experience in mine waste storage facilities.

POSITION INFO:

Provide quality tailings services in the mining industry

Provide technical advice on complex tailings issues to internal and external clients

Grow and establish engineering projects in the business unit

Negotiate and review routine project contracts

Develop and implement engineering systems in line with the mine waste team

Develop and mentor a team of technical professionals

Analyse and manage tailings reports for projects

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 10 years plus experience post-graduation

Thorough knowledge of legislation surrounding engineering design supporting water use and waste management license applications

Financial knowledge (Work in progress, Accounts receivable, DSO’s)

Strong proven background in project management

Track record of successfully managing and leading teams on mine waste projects

Slope stability and seepage analysis software experience

Advanced Microsoft office knowledge including Excel and MS Projects

Qualification:

BEng or BSc in Geotechnical/Civil engineering

Professional registration with ECSA (Preferred)

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
