A leading manufacturing company is looking for a Tax & Treasury Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate must have strong Tax & Treasury experience

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

CA(SA) Qualified
MCom Tax
5 - 7 years in a similar role at a multinational/FMCG corporate
SAP experience advantageous

Job description:

Tax

Full ownership of all tax compliance responsibilities for the Company, including identification & management of all tax risks
Development of local transfer pricing documentation, in consultation with Global Tax
Optimisation of the OpCo Total Tax Contribution and net income position
Build and develop a relationship with the local tax authorities in line with the Company’s Global Tax strategy – based on respect, transparency & trust
Timely identification of relevant developments within the local tax legislation
Manage and coordinate SARS requests and audits
Execute tax projects
Provides support/steering and appropriate technical expertise to Corporate Affairs

Treasury

Ensure that the strategies to ensure liquidity and funding are in line with Global policies and requirements
Ensure sufficient funds and credit lines are available to meet ongoing operational requirements
Negotiate and facilitation of costs and terms of facilities with financial institutions
Minimize cost of funding and transactional costs, while maintaining an optimal funding structure
Ensure proper segregation of duties across the department and only authorized access to the company bank accounts
Owner of treasury policies and procedures
Drive/support license renewals together with Corporate Affairs team for intercompany charges
