This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical tax work, client account support, and working across global VAT and indirect tax compliance processes. The role is well suited to a professional who combines accuracy, strong Excel capability, and a client-focused approach. About the Role As Tax Associate, you will manage designated client accounts and provide technical VAT support across their global operations. You’ll be responsible for a blend of compliance delivery, technical research, client and tax authority communication, and quality control support for key accounts. This is a strong fit for someone who is organised, detail-driven, and comfortable working with both data and stakeholders in a compliance-heavy environment. Key Responsibilities Capture, process, and analyse tax-related data Prepare and file VAT returns, ECSL submissions, and Intrastat reports Perform VAT compliance checks and support quality control processes Conduct technical VAT and indirect tax research Handle client and tax authority queries, providing accurate and timely responses Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and relevant internal team members Deliver relevant information clearly and effectively to stakeholders Communicate with clients, partners, and tax authorities as required Support audit preparation and responses What You’ll Bring Strong Excel and mathematical skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage client accounts and maintain professional communication Comfort working with compliance data, filings, and technical research Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines Professional communication skills with clients and external authorities Client-focused mindset and strong quality orientation Nice to Have EU language capability Previous experience in VAT, indirect tax, or compliance-related environments Exposure to audit support or tax authority correspondence What’s On Offer Opportunity to work in a specialist VAT and indirect tax environment Exposure to global client accounts and technical compliance work Strong development potential within a tax-focused team Collaborative environment with a blend of technical and client-facing responsibilities Company Culture This is a business that values precision, technical excellence, and practical client support.
