Tax Auditor III (Advance Pricing Agreements)

A client in the public sector is seeking a skilled Tax Auditor III (Advance Pricing Agreements) to join their team based in Woodmead. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of transfer pricing and international tax governance, driving strategic tax certainty through APA frameworks that align with global best practice, including the OECD’s BEPS Action 14.

This is a critical role for a confident and analytical professional who thrives on complex technical assessments, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement within a regulatory environment.

Key Duties:

• Lead and conduct full-scope transfer pricing audits with a focus on APA applications
• Plan and deliver audit processes based on risk profiling and legislative requirements
• Provide technical guidance on compliance, governance, and international tax regulations
• Identify opportunities for operational and risk-based process improvement
• Apply expert-level judgement to interpret policies, legislation, and audit findings
• Build internal and external relationships to enhance service excellence
• Contribute to a knowledge-sharing, ethics-driven culture
• Ensure effective resource management within allocated projects

Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7)
• 5–7 years’ experience in International and/or Transfer Pricing, with at least 2–3 years in a Corporate Income Tax specialist role
• In-depth knowledge of APA processes, audit methodology, and transfer pricing legislation
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and reporting skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve problems, and work independently
• Strong organisational awareness and business acumen
• High attention to detail and professional integrity
