POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
A leading group in the retail and consumer goods industry is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their finance team. This is a high-impact role requiring expertise in tax compliance, reporting, advisory, and stakeholder management across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure tax efficiency, compliance, and strong governance throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee tax compliance and reporting across multiple tax types and entities
Prepare and review tax returns, provisional tax estimates, and CFC calculations
Lead year-end and quarterly tax reporting, including deferred tax calculations
Advise on tax legislation changes and support business units with technical guidance
Manage tax audits, risks, and relationships with tax authorities and external advisors

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting
Master’s in taxation is essential
CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a tax consultant
Experience in a large or multinational group preferred
Strong understanding of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory
