SUMMARY:
Our client, a reputable accounting firm, is seeking to appoint an experiencedÂ Tax ManagerÂ to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in taxation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a largely remote environment.Â

Location:Â Pretoria/Johannesburg (Remote with 1 day/week in Pretoria office)

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

Honours degree inÂ TaxationÂ and/orÂ AccountingÂ (CA, TAX, SAIPA, or equivalent)
MinimumÂ 3 yearsâ experienceÂ in taxation
Proficient inÂ AfrikaansÂ andÂ EnglishÂ Â
Own transport and valid driverâs license
ReliableÂ Wi-FiÂ at home
Based in Pretoria or Johannesburg, with the ability to work from the Pretoria office once a week

Key Responsibilities:

Perform VAT calculations and prepare VAT returns
Manage payroll processes including payslip preparation, payroll returns, EMP501 returns, and reconciliations
Conduct income tax calculations for companies, trusts, and individuals
Prepare provisional tax calculations for companies, trusts, and individuals
Handle public officer appointments
Complete tax type registrations
(Advantageous) Manage SARS disputes, audits, and e-filing profile mergers

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
