Tax Manager Location: Diep River, Cape Town Employment Type: Full-time PKF Constantia Valley Cape Town Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Tax Manager to lead and oversee our tax department. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience within an accounting or audit practice environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of tax professionals managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance across all tax types, and providing expert tax guidance to both clients and colleagues. Key Responsibilities Assume full responsibility for the management, performance, and strategic direction of the Tax Department. Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop members of the tax team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional growth. Manage departmental workflow, resource allocation, deadlines, and client deliverables to ensure efficiency and compliance. Remain actively involved in the day-to-day tax compliance function, including the preparation, review, and submission of tax returns across all tax types. Drive continuous improvement within the department by implementing best practices, improving processes, and maintaining high professional standards. Minimum Requirements Relevant Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or related tertiary qualification. Registered Tax Practitioner. SAIT membership or another recognised professional tax accreditation. Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience . At least 5 years' management or supervisory experience . Proven experience managing client tax portfolios and tax compliance processes. Strong understanding of corporate tax compliance requirements. Competencies and Skills Excellent knowledge of South African tax legislation and compliance requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team.
