SUMMARY:
Our client is a well-established concern within the construction and industrial sectors, and they are recruiting for a Tax Manager that will be based in Johannesburg. The successful incumbent must have at least 3-5 yearsÃ¢Â€Â™ experience within the commercial sector outside of auditing/consulting and must have experience with the full tax function (Corporate, International and Indirect Tax)

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Qualifications required to be considered:

CA(SA)
M.Com advantageous
Member of SAIT (South African Institute of Tax Practitioners) advantageous
Bcom Honours or Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation advantageous
Min 3-5 years working experience within a corporate environment
Management experience required
International Tax (African exposure)

Duties:

Corporate Income Tax Returns / IT14
Deferred Tax / Provisional Tax Calculations
International / Cross-Border Tax
Transfer Pricing
Group VAT returns
Tax/VAT Risk & Compliance
Staff Management and Training
Technical Tax/VAT Query Assistance
Group Tax Budgets and Expenditure
SARS Disputes and/or Queries
Implementation of changes in tax law and updating policies and procedures
Management of tax risk register
Liaising with our service providers in the rest of Africa in ensuring tax compliance in these jurisdictions and assisting with audits and queries from relevant authorities
