SUMMARY:
Our client based in the North of Johannesburg is currently looking for a Tax Manager to join their dynamic team.

POSITION INFO:

Education and Experience:

BCOM Hons Tax / MCom
5 – 8 years’ experience
Preference would be given to candidates that come from the following industries; Audit firm, or treasury

Responsibilities:

Perform research on relevant topics: raising Members’ Tax awareness
Identify opportunities for growth in member services
Represent the Institute at National stakeholder forums
Inform members of new developments in tax
Present workshops and webinars
Develop and maintain entry assessments
Assist the Education and training with Tax assessments for the professional evaluation and preparatory programmes
Generate revenue through tax consulting service
Ensure implementation of new products and services implemented to address the changing needs of the profession and gaining competitive advantage, such as:
Create Qualifications & Educational requirements for tax practitioners and tax technicians
Plan for and implement the Tax Division’s strategy
Perform Member needs analysis
Perform market environmental scans to compare competitor tax products and service offerings conducted
Maintain the tax related budget items and report on variances
Ensure that the self-services tax material to be made available on the the Institite’s platforms is available published and updated
Maintain the Institute’s accreditation with SARS
Publish new tax guidelines and books
