SUMMARY:
The purpose of the role is to drive tax efficiencies and ensure compliance with all Direct and Indirect Tax legislation, as well as changes to IFRS legislation.

POSITION INFO:

High Level Objectives:

Ensure Financial Reporting including Financial Statements and Monthly Management Reports complies with Technical and Tax requirements.
Provide support on technical accounting matters.
Implement requirements of technical changes to relevant legislation procedurally.
Drive compliance with Direct and Indirect Tax legislation.
Drive stakeholder engagement on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications and Experience required:

CA(SA) qualification is essential.
3-5 Years financial reporting management experience is essential.
3-5 Years IFRS reporting experience essential.
3-5 Years Banking / Financial sector/ services experience is essential.
3 Years BI / MI and data management experience is desirable.

Knowledge and technical competencies:

IFRS and relevant company and tax legislation is essential.
Computer literacy (Microsoft suite proficiency in power point and advance excel) is essential.
Knowledge of Bank’s Act and other Acts relevant to Financial reporting and Banking industry is essential.
Knowledge Financial and Management reporting design, development and delivery and monitoring is essential.

- Analytical skills are essential.
- Solution and deadline driven is essential.
- Ability to work independently and cross functionally is essential.
