Technical Accountant

SUMMARY:
Work from home. In search of an individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to build good relationships. The successful incumbent’s main responsibility will entail taking responsibility for the financial aspects of reinsurance, including the processing and accounting of reinsurance transactions, performing and managing control environment and resolving accounting queries with clients.

Job & Company Description:

My client is a well-respected insurer across Africa. There is plenty of room for growth within the team. This role requires an individual who wants to perform both a reporting and operational finance function.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be assisting the Insurance Finance Manager in timely financial reporting and accounting activities such as preparation of annual audit packs, weekly cash flow forecasts amongst other, various Financial Accounting Functions.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Bcom Honours and completed articles (essential)

Qualified Chartered Accountant preferred

Completed articles in the Financial Services / Insurance division Or

Two years commercial experience in the financial services space

Exposure to IFRS 17 highly advantageous

Advanced excel skills
