SUMMARY:

An established manufacturer of animal nutrition is seeking a results-driven Technical Advisor with a passion for the equine industry to engage with customers by promoting animal feed products, attending to technical queries and providing progress reports on their horses’ conditions.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a BSc. Agric in Animal Science or similar
At least 3 years’ sales experience in the agricultural industry will be required
Strong communication and presentation skills are essential
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Building and managing relationships with agents and clients.
Checking agents’ stock, taking orders when visiting agents, and dealing with customer queries.
Setting up and maintaining displays to look as fresh and presentable as possible.
Attending and presenting at Farmers’ days and shows as well as presenting sponsorship prizes and awards.
Visiting clients, attending to and inspect horses and providing progress reports on the horses’ condition.
Providing advice as to how to improve the horses condition.
Responding to customer queries on social media.
Managing advertising opportunities and opportunities to promote the company via social media.
Assisting in the Production Office when required, whilst gaining first-hand knowledge of how the feed is manufactured.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
