Technical Legal Specialist

SUMMARY:
A well-recognized, internationally approved company based in Johannesburg North, is in search of a Technical Legal Specialist (Paralegal), it is a newly established role that needs to be filled by someone that has a strong work ethic and willing to commit long term. It needs to be someone that has exposure to a legal and compliance function and engaging with regulatory bodies, or similar. POSITION INFO:
Duties:

• Understanding of regulatory frameworks, and/or the online gambling industry in international markets advantageous
• Strong ability to research legal requirements for accreditations and certifiable requirements and provide succinct feedback and opinion.
• Able to keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments and changes.
• Ability to draft and/or review contractual agreements - experience in international taxation and transfer pricing advantageous.
• Able to develop process, procedural and other documentation, including regulatory reporting templates.
• Experience in legalising of documents.
• Ability to assist with compliance activities and monitoring associated with POPIA, GDPR, UK – GDPR, labour laws and other relevant laws and regulations - taxation, company law advantageous.
• Can provide training in the area of expertise.

• Matric
• Bachelor of Commerce Degree or LLB
• Admitted Attorney advantageous

• 1-2 years post articles in Law
• Strong interpersonal and client liaison skills
• Logical and structured manner of planning and approaching tasks.
