SUMMARY:
An international and fully wireless ISP company is seeking a driven and skilled Technical Network Engineer to form part of their Technical Department.

CPT / JHB / DBN | Permanent | Option for Hybrid | R25k - R30k pm

POSITION INFO:
We’re hiring a Technical Manager to shape our network, prevent downtime, and mentor a growing team. If you excel at near-perfect uptime, network design, and leading engineers, contact us.

What You’ll Do

Optimize monitoring (Zabbix/ LibreQOS) and automate routine tasks for near-zero downtime.
Drive innovation: peering, capacity upgrades, virtualization, and backup power solutions.

What You’ll Bring

2+ years of progressive network/data center experience
Hands-on with routing & switching (MikroTik and Arista), plus network monitoring tools.
A passion for preventing downtime—always anticipating risks and solutions.
Familiarity with project management (e.g., Asana) and compliance standards (e.g., ICASA, Afrinic).

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCDP, MTCINE, or similar).
Experience with virtualization (Xen, VMware, KVM) and storage area networks (SAN, EMC, VNX).
Hands-on experience with automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, Bash, or similar).
Familiarity with VoIP PBX systems, SIP trunking, and voice monitoring a plus.
