This presents an exciting opportunity for a qualified CA(SA) with a strong interest in IFRS and technical accounting to develop their career within a specialised reporting environment as a Technical Reporting Accountant.

POSITION INFO:
Roles & Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Financial Manager: Technical Reporting.
- Draft and compile technical accounting position papers on standards and regulations issued by accounting and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare submissions and reports for the Audit and Risk Committee relating to technical accounting considerations.
- Perform detailed calculations and analyses for complex and non-routine accounting transactions.
- Prepare SEC and CIPC XBRL tagging of financial statements in accordance with established best practices, internal policies, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to the reporting team and the wider finance function.
- Assist in the preparation of:
o Quarterly and interim financial reports.
o Annual financial statements.
o Statutory financial statements for group entities in compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

- CA(SA) qualification in good standing (essential).
- 1– 3 years’ post-articles experience.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS with a solid technical accounting foundation.
- Proven interest in technical accounting and financial reporting disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with report writing forming a key part of the role.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with a strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage tight reporting deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong overall computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
