JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a well-established and progressive engineering company, based in Paarl, seeks to employ an efficient, technically minded, organised and customer service orientated Administrator, who meets the following very specific experience.

Please note this role is suited to highly efficient administratively orientated candidate, who has worked in a technical workshop or an engineering environment dealing with customers on quotations, work in progress updates, assessing their needs on a technical level and compiling a Bill of Materials from drawing files.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

You will have Matric, coupled with 3-5 years’ experience in technical admin, and customer service, within an engineering services environment.
You will have an understanding of technical drawings, processing orders for the workshop, prioritise urgent work for customers with breakdowns and according to receiving date and advise clients accordingly of changes and progress.
You must be meticulous in your record keeping, administration for quotations, invoicing, receipting of cash payments and converting work orders into completed sales and generating revenue through exceptional customer service.
You will be proactive, think quickly on your feet to avoid mitigation, perform under pressure and work well independently, as the Project Manager travels extensively.
You must have a valid driver's license, a clear credit and criminal record and your own reliable vehicle.
Residence in the Winelands and surrounding areas will receive preference.
