Technical Sales Engineer

Must have very good knowledge of fan laws and applications
Strong English communication and second language in Matric
Tertiary sales and or technical education beneficial
Competent with MS Office most notably Excel and Word
Valid driver license and roadworthy vehicle and willingness to travel including fly if required and meet any legislative requirements to do such passport and vaccination
Physical requirement able bodied and must pass medical testing to enter mines and other locations requiring medical examination and able to work on occasion on site with customer to understand their requirements
Strong in both Inter and Intra communication
Building positive relations with customers i.e. relationships built around trust, integrity and confidence in the incumbent
Finding new customers, and developing relationships with those responsible for buying and making the decisions in those Companies
A fundamental understanding of the “Fan Laws” application, selection of equipment, costing and maintenance of prescribed profit margins
Constant feedback concerning product, market and competition
Achieving or exceeding predetermined Sales budget on a monthly basis
Assistance with preparation of Sales Strategies and plans necessary to achieve the above
Maintaining response times in terms of returning calls, providing technical information, selections and quotations, as well as the quality, accuracy and presentation of such
Maintenance of Sales related Systems including but not limited to tender follow ups, tender analysis including product group data, calling programme, customer database systems that facilitate service in selections, tender preparation
When and if necessary, provide assistance and support to finance dept for the collection of debt
Collaboration with all departments to effect the best result for the customer
