Technical Sales Engineer

SUMMARY:
The renewable space is booming, and we have a very exciting opportunity for a technically sharp and driven individual to join a fast-paced environment, within one of the industry-leading companies in South Africa.

POSITION INFO:

Develop and integrate networks using the client's product offerings
Engage with customers via email, phone calls, and direct interactions to expand the customer base
Promote and introduce products to the market
Introduce and promote new product offerings
Design and integrate electrical networks
Register and convert clients to build a strong customer base.
Prepare estimates for client projects
Generate sales orders for successful deals
Maintain communication with production teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
Provide feedback to clients regarding product delivery updates.
Follow up on payment processes with customers
Attend internal meetings for collaborative discussions
Participate in meetings with clients to address their specific needs
Provide feedback on sales performance and maintain an updated sales pipeline

Skills & Experience:
Required experience of 4-10 years in the Renewable sector, with a strong technical background in the Solar PV industry, specifically in medium to large-scale grid-tied and off-grid projects
Thorough understanding of PV products and associated solutions
Proficiency in designing and integrating electrical networks.
Provide pre- and post-sales remote technical assistance to customers
Strategize, prepare, and execute key business deals
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Demonstrates a strong work ethic
Willingness to travel as needed
Strong problem-solving abilities
Displays self-confidence in professional engagements
Possesses an inquisitive nature
Capable of strategic thinking to support long-term commercial business objectives

Qualification:
BEng / BTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
