POSITION INFO:
This is not your typical sales role: Your mechanical expertise will be your biggest asset as you bridge the gap between engineering precision and clients' needs. The company is a well-established player in the coal mining sector, now expanding into broader mining and heavy industry markets.

You’ll work closely with Engineers, Plant Managers, and procurement teams, offering fit-for-purpose gear solutions—from complex gearboxes to custom-manufactured drive systems. If you love solving mechanical challenges and turning client problems into powerful engineered solutions, then this role is for you.

Education:

BTech or Bachelor of Technology in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum 3 years in technical sales, application engineering, or gear manufacturing
Deep understanding of gearboxes, precision gears, or mechanical power transmission
Strong exposure to mining or industrial processing environments
Ability to interpret technical specs and propose custom mechanical solutions
Comfortable presenting to clients and closing technical sales
Proficient in MS Office, engineering documentation, and CRM tools
Based in Gauteng with ability to travel for client site visits
Clear communicator—English required; French/Portuguese advantageous
