SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Representative has arisen to join a leading national trailer and truck body manufacturer. This position will be based in East Rand.

POSITION INFO:

Main Job objectives:

To grow and maintain the customer base to achieve targets set and provide great service to our customers based on technical competence and a passion for excellence.

The key responsibilities include:

Selling of truck bodies; trailers and repairs services

Service existing customers and grow existing customer base (large fleet owners; retailers; truck dealers)

Preparation of quotations and costings

Preparation of weight distributions using Transolve software.

Preparation of Job sheets & specification sheets for new orders

Handling of communication & progress reports for new orders

Professional handover of new vehicles

Provide solutions & technical support to customers.

Handling & resolving of customer complaints

Plan and conduct visits to outlying areas from time to time.

Prepare a weekly call plan of activities planned to maximize sales effectiveness.

Prepare status reports including sales calls & progress reports on activities.

Ideal competencies, skills & knowledge:

Proven ability to achieve sales targets.

Understanding customer requirements to ensure suitable solutions are proposed.

3 to 5 years direct sales experience preferably in the road transport industry or with high value capital assets.
