An exciting opportunity is available with our Distribution client, for an experienced Sales Manager to take responsibility for driving sales growth, developing key customer relationships and leading a high-performing sales team within a technical engineering environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategies, growing profitable revenue, identifying new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with key customers, distributors and industry stakeholders.

POSITION INFO:
KEY REQUIREMENTS Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with overall business objectives. Take responsibility for achieving sales, revenue and profitability targets. Lead, motivate, coach and develop a team of field-based Sales Executives and Account Managers. Establish clear and measurable individual and team objectives and monitor performance against these. Drive both new business development (\"hunting\") and account growth (\"farming\") . Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts. Identify new markets, market segments and opportunities for b The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute and technically strong Sales Manager with a proven track record of leading sales teams and delivering both revenue and profit growth. You should have: Proven experience managing and developing a successful sales team. Strong business development and new customer acquisition experience. A proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies and plans. Strong commercial and negotiation skills. Excellent leadership, motivational and coaching abilities. Experience managing key accounts and distributor networks. Strong customer service orientation. A technical engineering background is highly advantageous , particularly experience involving: Engineering products and solutions. Sealing applications or related technical products. Industrial, manufacturing or process industries. Oil & Gas and\/or other heavy industrial sectors. Understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications. Identifying customer requirements and translating them into appropriate technical solutions. Experience working with distributors, end users and industrial customers will be particularly valuable.
