CAPE TOWN - BRACKENFELL: My client, a leading supplier of professional cleaning equipment and innovative industrial cleaning solutions, is seeking to appoint an experienced and technically minded Technical Sales Professional to join their team.

This role is ideal for a driven sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, understanding client requirements, and providing tailored equipment solutions across diverse industries.

POSITION INFO:
Purpose of the Role: To drive business growth by acting as a technical sales professional, identifying customer requirements, understanding operational challenges, and providing appropriate cleaning solutions through expert product knowledge, consultative selling, and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: Developing new business opportunities and growing existing customer relationships within targeted markets Acting as a trusted technical advisor by understanding client requirements and recommending suitable equipment solutions Conducting customer site visits to assess operational needs and provide practical recommendations Engaging with clients across various industries including agriculture, wine estates, automotive, workshops, dealerships, hospitality, and industrial environments Demonstrating products and effectively communicating technical features, benefits, and applications to customers Preparing quotations, proposals, and technical recommendations aligned with customer requirements Managing the full sales process from lead generation through to closing and after-sales support Maintaining regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify further opportunities Achieving agreed sales targets and contributing towards company growth objectives Maintaining accurate customer records, sales activity reports, and pipeline information Keeping up to date with product developments, industry trends, and competitor activity Collaborating with internal teams to ensure effective customer service and support delivery Criteria: Matric Minimum 3-5 years' proven technical sales experience in solution-based selling of capital equipment, machinery, or industrial products, with a successful track record of servicing clients within the wine, hospitality, agricultural, automotive, workshop, dealership, and industrial sectors. Previous experience working with wine estates and the hospitality industry is essential, as these represent the company's core client base. Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships across wine estates, hotels, guest lodges, restaurants, agricultural businesses, automotive workshops, dealerships, manufacturing, and industrial environments, demonstrating a sound understanding of the operational requirements and service expectations of these sectors. Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English) with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate confidently, professionally, and fluently in both languages is essential due to the calibre of the company's clients and the relationship-driven nature of the role Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand, learn, and communicate product functionality and applications Proven ability to engage confidently with commercial clients and identify their operational requirements Experience in selling equipment solutions or products requiring technical consultation would be advantageous A customer-focused approach with the ability to provide practical solutions rather than simply sell products Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer requirements and sales opportunities Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment Good computer literacy and experience using CRM systems would be advantageous Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport essential Proficient in English and Afrikaans (read, speak and write)
