JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client in Port Elizabeth is in need of a technical Sales representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling production line equipment such as industrial continuous ink jet printers for batch & date coding onto FMCG goods, label applicators in an industrial application etc. We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals with a proven track record in sales.

Requirements:

The person should have a strong sales background especially in cold calling and canvassing.
Minimum 5 years successful field sales experience to industry
Technical knowledge required, but only to a level of understanding technology in machinery very similar to printers, copiers, conveyors etc.
Some existing and referred customers will be passed onto this person, but main responsibility will be cold calling, bringing in new clients, and growing the area allocated to them.
Must be willing to travel for work
Must have valid driver’s license
Work environment will be mainly manufacturing plants, factories, packaging plants etc.
Minimum grade 12 School qualification, computer literacy and strong administrative skills are required
