Technical Sales Representative

Our client in Port Elizabeth is in need of a technical Sales representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling production line equipment such as industrial continuous ink jet printers for batch & date coding onto FMCG goods, label applicators in an industrial application etc. We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals with a proven track record in sales.

Requirements:

• The person should have a strong sales background especially in cold calling and canvassing.
• Minimum 5 years successful field sales experience to industry
• Technical knowledge required, but only to a level of understanding technology in machinery very similar to printers, copiers, conveyors etc.
• Some existing and referred customers will be passed onto this person, but main responsibility will be cold calling, bringing in new clients, and growing the area allocated to them.
• Must be willing to travel for work
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Work environment will be mainly manufacturing plants, factories, packaging plants etc.
• Minimum grade 12 School qualification, computer literacy and strong administrative skills are required
