SUMMARY:

TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – AFRICA - MINING

JOHANNESBURG

(Industry focus: Mining - French speaking African countries)

POSITION INFO:
Experience and Skills:

Min of 3 years’ experience selling valves and/or actuators is essential.
Must have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Must have a network of end users in the mining industry, ideally within French Speaking African Countries
Ability to secure projects and MRO business with new potential clients and secure vendor listings
French speaking will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive sales through strategic processes, not just by waiting for orders
Conduct thorough research on potential customers to identify key decision-makers, operations, and challenges
Engage customers in the initial outreach, clearly communicating how our products can help them achieve their business goals
Follow up effectively to secure meetings and advance the sales process
Deliver persuasive presentations that align our product offerings with the customer’s specific needs
Proactively managing the sales process, identifying and addressing potential blockers
Understand business fundamentals to ensure sales efforts are financially beneficial for both parties
