JOB SUMMARY:

An international manufacturer of animal health and nutrition solutions is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to drive sales and promote products for all animal species across South Africa and neighbouring countries.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a BSc. or MSc. degree in Animal Science or relevant veterinarian or scientific qualification
2-4 years’ hands-on commercial experience in Animal Feed, Feed Additives, Pre-mixes or related will be required
Must have a valid drivers’ license and be willing to travel extensively

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Developing the growth of the current business within all species in South Africa and neighbouring countries through the technical promotion of the company’s products and solutions.
Maintaining existing business in the feed industry and at farm level.
Providing technical support to local distributors, dealers’ sales teams and end-user customers (Farmers) through technical training on the products and solutions.
Implementing trials and technical services through hands-on or informative assistance.
Identifying market needs, opportunities and key success factors.
Assisting in technical training for customer and operational teams, and make the necessary preparations.
Assisting in field evaluations of products, to recommend product improvements or new products.
Contributing to the preparation of technical documents.
Communicating technical information through sales call reports or technical service reports.
Reporting new market trends and ideas to the Area Manager.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
