POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across the industrial, commercial, and residential sectors. Promote and sell electrical engineering, industrial automation, renewable energy, and power distribution solutions. Consult with clients to understand their operational requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions. Explain complex engineering services, including PLC control panels, transformer maintenance, substation work, and industrial automation systems. Assess customer needs and prepare tailored proposals for solar PV systems, inverters, motor rewinding, and explosion-proof electrical installations. Build and maintain strong relationships with factory managers, developers, consulting engineers, contractors, and procurement teams. Collaborate with the engineering team to prepare accurate quotations, tenders, and project proposals. Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities. Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and revenue objectives. Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reports. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Diploma or qualification in Electrical Engineering, Technical Sales, or a related field will be advantageous. 3-5 years' proven technical sales experience within the South African electrical, industrial automation, heavy engineering, or heavy machinery industries. Strong understanding of: Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) power distribution. Industrial automation and PLC systems. Backup power solutions. Commercial and industrial solar energy systems. Valid Code 8 driver's licence. Own reliable vehicle. Willingness to travel frequently to client sites. Key Skills & Competencies Strong technical aptitude and engineering knowledge.
