SUMMARY:
My client based in the Northern Suburbs is seeking to employ a Technical Talent Specialist. The technical talent specialist will primarily support the growth and enable the capacity of our software engineering teams, who develop solutions that keep thousands of websites online. The software engineers work together in autonomous teams that take full responsibility for their own part of the company ecosystem. This team is mostly based in the Western Cape but has the flexibility to choose how best to organise remotely or in a hybrid manner.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring manager and lead talent hiring conversations, in order to establish a robust hiring strategy (both local and global) for each open role.
  • Maintain a constant commitment to high levels of communication and feedback, to both your internal customers and external customers, throughout the recruitment lifecycle. 
  • Ability to screen, assess, interview and short list talent within an efficient and consistent timeline.
  • Coordinate interviews, ensuring that internal owners and candidates are kept updated on the status of applications.
  • Handle offer process, including reference and vetting checks, onboarding etc.
  • Optimize our hiring toolkit (ATS, recruitment platforms and job boards) to ensure that our recruiting processes are both effective and scalable.
  • Establish extensive technical candidate talent pools to fill current and future needs.
  • Intentionally create an unforgettable candidate experience from first contact to on-boarding - culture is our differentiator.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the sourcing of local and global IT expertise, with evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Expert understanding of the tech recruitment market, both locally and globally.
  • Experience of high-volume recruitment in a scale-up business.
  • Successful stakeholders’ management (hiring manager, agencies etc.)
  • Sound knowledge of sourcing and talent mapping techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills, as well excellent attention to detail.
  • A tertiary psychology or business orientated degree or equivalent qualification.
  • You are familiar with and understand Agile principles.
