JOB SUMMARY:
Technical Working Foreman - Durban - KwaZulu-Natal

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A well-established Automotive dealership in Durban, is looking for a Technical Foreman to join their Service Department.
The main purpose of this position is to ensure that all the technical workshop practices are correctly and accurately performed, measured, supported and controlled.

Requirements:

Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with Maths and Science
Trade Test (Motor Mechanic) Certificate
Diagnostic knowledge
Workshop supervision experience
Driver’s License

Job functions:

Manage and support technicians technically
Provide on-the-job training and development
Manage and control timing of repairs
Basic audit checks on job cards to verify standards of technician reporting, clocking and scope of work conducted
Signing of all job cards after completion of repairs before handing to costing
Report and deal with workshop damages due to breakages and poor workmanship
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety disciplines
Maintain and ensure all special tools and workshop tools are available and in good working condition
Ensure the continuous updating of all software related equipment
Manage and control the procurement of all consumables
Manage technicians efficiency and productivity and track performance on a daily basis
Prepare for daily workload and planning prior to work day to ensure availability of resources
Attend weekly/daily service meetings
Opening and closing of workshop
Assist sales department with technical queries
Assist customer and management in resolving complaints

Salary: R20 000 Basic Salary per Month + Workshop Incentives + Benefits
