JOB SUMMARY:
We are recruiting for an Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the CEO who leads the biggest retail group, by effectively managing schedules and performing a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to complex and confidential administrative, secretarial, analytical, project based and research duties.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Manage the flow of information through the CEO’s office
  • Promote a positive PR image for the “office of the CEO”
  • Managing the CEO’s time
  • Attend and take minutes at executive team meetings
  • Maintain a schedule of recurring meetings
  • Preparing for meetings
  • Keep a record of all requests directed from the CEO to the executive team
  • Maintain daily catch-ups between you and the CEO
  • Handle ad-hoc customer complaints which are escalated to the CEO
  • Maintain professional telephone etiquette
  • Manage local and international travel arrangements
  • Various administrative tasks
  • Tech savvy
  • Build an effective network and nurture relationships:

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Previous work experience as an Executive Assistant (or similar role) is essential
  • A relevant qualification, degree or diploma
  • Proficiency in MS Word, EXCEL, and PowerPoint
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous retail sector work experience
  • Demonstrate a high level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ)

  • Highly organised, strategic planner, methodical, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, process oriented and strong administrative skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and ability to work on own initiative when required.
  • Pro-active, open to feedback, willingness to learn, grow, innovate and seek ways to continuouslyNimprove and add value beyond what is expected in your role.
