Tester

SUMMARY:
Located in Sandton (Fully onsite)

My client based in Sandton is urgently looking for an experienced Tester (mainly Manual and familiar with automation testing) must have mentorship experience.

POSITION INFO:

• Analyse and assess bespoke web applications to prepare and execute comprehensive test strategies
• Perform both manual and automated testingacross multiple browsers, devices, and platforms
• Configure and manage QA and pre-production environments, ensuring appropriate test data, settings, and modules are in place
• Develop and maintain automated test scriptswithin a DevOps framework
• Work collaboratively with junior testers, providing mentorship and ensuring best practices are followed
• Conduct functional, regression, usability, performance, and security testingacross the system
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, business analysts, operations, call centres, and external service providersto resolve issues and improve application stability
• Liaise with third-party vendorsto support API, integration, and end-to-end testing

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of browsers, web technologies, and debugging tools
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks(e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Experience configuring QA/pre-production environmentsand managing test data
• Working knowledge of API testing(e.g., Postman, RestAssured) and database validation (SQL)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools(e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with performance and security testing tools
• Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams,

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in web application testing within Agile/DevOps frameworks
• Experience working with junior testers, fostering a collaborative QA team culture
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to drive quality assurance best practices and streamline test processes
