SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a high-calibre Trade Accountant to join a leading organisation within the mining sector. Our client is seeking a technically strong CA(SA) with excellent academic achievements and a proven track record within the mining industry.

POSITION INFO:
This role is best suited to a driven and analytical finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced trading and commodities environment and is looking to accelerate their career within a dynamic business.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified CA(SA)
Minimum 1 year of post-articles experience
Mining industry experience is non-negotiable
Strong technical accounting ability
Excellent academic record, including distinctions advantageous
First-time board passes required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate in a high-performance environment

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and analysing trade-related financial transactions
Financial reporting and reconciliations
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Supporting month-end and year-end reporting processes
Providing technical accounting support to the finance team
Assisting with operational and commercial finance functions within the mining environment
