Location: Johannesburg (Hybrid) Position description\/overview Ensure the comprehensive training and development of company Finance Credit Champions, customer service representatives, and debt collection\/recovery agents through both in-person and virtual training sessions. This includes designing and delivering engaging and effective training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of trainees, enabling them to perform their roles proficiently and contribute to the company's success. | | | | | | Collaborate closely with Finance Management, Sales Managers, and Merchants to ensure that the training programs are aligned with the company's business objectives and operational needs. This involves continuously assessing and improving training content to meet evolving industry standards and business requirements, thereby supporting the overall strategic goals of the organization. Minimum Requirements Senior Certificate, a tertiary qualification would be advantageous ETDP Certificate or Diploma is essential Certification in L&D practices is advantageous 3 years' experience as a trainer in microlending, sales, customer service, debt collection or financial services industry, proficiency working with e-learning authoring tools, proficiency working with training assessment and evaluation processes, and proficiency working with Learning Management Systems and Platforms. National extensive travel (up to 70%), as well as conducting training sessions on-site and virtually using various platforms. Knowledge of relevant Financial Services laws and regulations is advantageous Responsibilities Financial accountability Optimize training-related expenses, including travel, materials, and platform subscriptions. Manage the budget allocated for training programs, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Track and report on the financial impact of training initiatives. Ensure financial alignment of training programs with the company's overall budget and strategic goals Operational Accountability Assess training needs and develop appropriate training materials. Operational Accountability Design and develop comprehensive training materials tailored to the company Finance and Merchant Store microlending environment, including manuals, handouts, and online resources. Collaborate with Finance Management, Sales Managers, and Merchant representatives to align the training with business objectives. Conduct engaging and interactive training both for new hires and refresher training for existing Credit Champions. Adapt training delivery methods to suit different learning styles and environments. Travel extensively across the country to conduct in-person training at various locations nationwide. Deliver training using various virtual training platforms such as NewSpring LMS, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Classroom. Manage travel logistics and schedules efficiently. Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, and continuously improve training programs, based on evaluations and industry best practices. Provide feedback and support to trainee Credit Champions to enhance their performance and growth. Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and trainee progress. Prepare reports on pre- and post- training activities and outcomes for management review Customers\/Stakeholders: L&D Management Company Group-wide Management, including EF, EL, Contact Centre, Cybertrac Company Group-wide Employees, Credit Champions and Agents (new and existing) Key Skills\/ Competencies Ability to use adult learning models, e.g. ADDIE, 6D's, or SAM Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong presentation and facilitation, project management & stakeholder management Strong organisational and time management Ability to facilitate engaging and effective training programs Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams) Proficiency in using virtual training platforms (e.g. NewSpring LMS, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.) Relevant training assessment and evaluation processes Manage travel logistics and schedules efficiently. Problem solving skills , Detail-Oriented & Resilient Team player with the ability to work independently. Personal learning agility Physical Requirements: Ability to travel frequently and work in various environments. Extended hours may be required, including evenings and weekends.
