SUMMARY:
Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives. Develop, implement and evaluate effectiveness

POSITION INFO:
1. Onboarding

  • Full Accountability of Induction program (develop, implement, evaluate, adjust).
2. Competency and Employee Development
  • Develop competency models across functional and leadership.
  • Support HR with JD''s and JS.
  • Career Pathing Developed and Implemented.
  • Support with employees Personal Development Plans, track and monitor.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

3. Training and Evaluation
  • Develops unique training programs to fulfil workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Manage all Learnership, Skills Programs etc.
  • Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Assesses training materials. 
  • Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
4. Skills Programs and Learnership
  • Implement and Manage all programs

5. Reporting and admin
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
  • Skills Development: Annual WSP and ATR submissions and implementation of Skills Plan.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Relevant Degree/Diploma in HR/Training and Development
  • Minimum 3 years’ Training and Development experience.
  • Certified and registered as a Skills Development Facilitator would be an advantage.

  • Excellent multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Management and teamwork skills.
  • Adapt with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.    
  • Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Being an effective team player.
  • Ability to multitask in a stressful environment with specific deadlines.
