Training and HR Officer

SUMMARY:
Seeking a well-experienced Trainer and HR officer for my client based in Gauteng. Must have a Degree / NDip in HR and have excellent training and HR experience in the Manufacturing Industry. SDF accreditation. Sound knowledge of skills-related legislation. Sage 300.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy:

The incumbent will play a strategic role in overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of training initiatives that are aligned with business goals and objectives.

The incumbent must also have good experience in the Human Resources environment.

The incumbent will also develop and maintain interactive learning solutions that drive measurable results for the business and guarantee that those solutions are instructionally sound and are up to the business’s quality standards.

Collaboration:

The incumbent will play a highly collaborative role to build solid cross-functional relationships with Business Unit Managers across the group. To determine training priorities, rollout plans, set goals and timelines, and return on investment analytics. Work closely with BU Managers to identify skill gaps, plan, and implement training initiatives to close gaps.

Analytics: The incumbent must measure program delivery quality to ensure continuous improvement, maintenance, and adjust program delivery approaches accordingly to maintain pace with business growth. Training reports must be analysed and reported to all key stakeholders for strategic decision making and to influence informed decision making.

Key Performance Areas:

• Schedule training programmes as per business requirements.
• Source relevant accredited training providers aligned to business needs.
• Ensure that all relevant documentation is obtained for registration / booking of training.
• Keep relevant parties informed of cancellations, postponements or new bookings.
• Organise travel arrangements as and when required.
• Source and arrange training venues as and when required.
• Complete all required checklists and forms for training sessions scheduled and coordinated.
• Check and submit all training related invoices for payment.
• Record of all training to be captured on our training software programme and reconciled with SAP each month.
• Collect and receive completed training administration documentation from facilitators within specified submission time periods.
• Plan and agree on training budget with Business Units.
• Align all internal and external training interventions to BEE strategy, including but not limited to the Company’s bursary scheme, internships, apprenticeships, and learnerships.
• Manage the recovery of grants from SETA.
• Oversee the completion of the Company’s Ceramic Qualification with the CETA and QCTO

Key Requirements:

• HR Degree or Diploma
• SDF accreditation would be an advantage
• Sound knowledge of skills related legislation (SDA, SDLA, LRA, etc.)
• Experience on Sage 300, People
• Computer Literate (MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, E-Mail)
• + 5 Years’ work experience in a training / skills development environment
• Code 8 Driver’s license

WORKING HOURS:

Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00

Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
