POSITION INFO:
The Role:
Seeking an experienced Transaction Advisor to join the advisory team.
This is a client-facing, strategic position that sits at the center of multi-disciplinary project teams and requires strong financial acumen, excellent project management skills, and the ability to take a big-picture view.
The Transaction Advisor will manage the entire transaction cycle from feasibility through to financial close, working closely with clients, lenders, legal advisors, technical consultants, and internal teams to deliver bankable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex, multi-stakeholder transactions across infrastructure, energy, and mining.
- Interpret, challenge, and apply financial models in decision-making.
- Drive the execution of project finance processes, including feasibility studies, due diligence, and funding negotiations.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships through clear communication and sound advice.
- Oversee junior staff and external consultants, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely delivery.
- Develop and present reports, investment cases, and recommendations to clients, funders, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to fundraising, transaction structuring, and advisory mandates.
Required Qualifications and Experience: - Qualifications: Minimum relevant DEGREE such as BCom Finance, Chartered Accountant, MBA (or equivalent).
- Experience: 7+ years in a project finance environment with exposure to the full project lifecycle.
- 4+ years in management consulting, strategy consulting, or equivalent analytical roles.
- Proven track record in infrastructure, energy, or mining sectors.
- Skills: Strong Excel and financial modelling interpretation.
- Excellent report-writing and presentation skills (PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong interpersonal and client management skills.
