JOB SUMMARY:
A well-known Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Treasury Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be in a similar role and ready for a new challenge within a multinational organisation.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Education:

Relevant Finance Degree

Skills/Experience required:

3 – 5 years’ experience as a Treasury Accountant
Experience on Treasury Management System
SAP experience – preferred
Experience on all banking platforms

Job Description:

Acceptance and reporting of payments received
General banking
SARB Reporting
Advising on Exchange Control Compliance and Regulations
Internal Audit on Import and Export Documentation to determine the effectiveness of compliance procedures/policies implemented by Group Office
Implementing and maintaining compliance so that trade across borders can continue.
Update Cashbook and reconcile bank accounts daily
Maintain fixed asset register on a monthly basis and verify assets on a rotational basis
Depreciation and wear and tear calculation
Tracking Capex spend and capitalising assets on completion
Preparation of monthly tax schedules and uploading into OneSource Tax Software
Balance Sheet Recons preparation
Completion of the VAT201 Recon and SARS VAT Audit as required
Assisting the Financial Manager and Financial Accountant with ad-hoc duties
Assisting auditors with information for year-end audits
