UAV Drone Pilot

SUMMARY:
The UAV Drone Pilot will be responsible for the safe, professional, and effective operation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) across African markets and other designated territories.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications and Experience: • Formal instructor\/trainer qualification. • Aviation or technical qualification • Relevant UAV\/Drone Pilot qualification or certification. • Relevant aviation, unmanned aviation or UAV operational training. • Demonstrable practical UAV flying experience. • Experience operating professional\/commercial UAV systems. • Experience conducting UAV demonstrations and\/or training. • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally. • Valid driver''s license. • Excellent English communication skills. • Fluent French communication skills. • Portuguese language proficiency. • Military, defence, security, surveillance, or specialized UAV experience. • Experience working within the African market. • Experience training military, law-enforcement, security, or commercial end users. • Experience with advanced UAV platforms and payload systems. • Experience with mapping, surveillance, reconnaissance, inspection, or other specialized UAV applications. • Previous experience working in a technical customer-facing role. Responsibilities: • Operate UAV\/drone systems safely, professionally and in accordance with applicable legislation, regulations, company procedures, and aviation requirements • Conduct professional UAV demonstrations for existing and prospective customers. • Acting as a UAV Trainer and End-User Instructor. • The successful candidate must be able to transfer technical knowledge effectively to individuals with different levels of technical experience. • Travel extensively throughout Africa as operational requirements dictate. • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and end users. • Be willing to travel extensively throughout Africa and internationally when required. • Comply with all applicable UAV, aviation, occupational health, and safety requirements. • Maintain all required licences, certifications, and operational authorisations • Fluent in English, French and Portuguese will be an advantage. • Maintain accurate flight and operational records.
