POSITION INFO:
A well-established Insurance Brokerage in Pretoria North is looking for a Short-term Underwriter (Personal Lines & Claims) to join their team!

The successful candidate will full ownership of a personal lines portfolio, managing the entire lifecycle of both underwriting and claims with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full personal lines policy lifecycle, including new business quotations, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Handle end-to-end claims administration from initial notification and registration through to final settlement.
• Operate independently on insurer portals to ensure accurate data capturing and policy issuance.
• Ensure all transactions and client interactions remain strictly compliant with FAIS, FICA, and internal regulatory standards.
• Provide high-level, dedicated service to clients, acting as a reliable technical point of contact for all insurance-related queries.
• Maintain meticulous record-keeping and administrative accuracy to ensure the portfolio remains seamlessly up-to-date.

• 3+ years of experience in Personal Lines Underwriting
• Matric certificate
• RE5 Qualification
• NQF4 Short-Term insurance Qualification
• DOFA (Date of First Appointment) confirmation
• Computer Skills: Experience with TIAL System Administration (highly advantageous)
• Any additional relevant qualifications wil be beneficial

• Salary: Market-related, based on experience & qualifications
• Work Model: 1-week office-bound and 1-week remote (alternating)
