POSITION INFO:
Our client operates within the financial services industry and is seeking an experienced Underwriting Consultant to provide underwriting and claims support to Advisers, with a primary focus on both Commercial and Personal Lines insurance. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing policy administration, client communication, renewals, claims processing, and insurer liaison, ensuring a seamless client experience throughout the policy lifecycle. This position is based in the Tzaneen, Louis Trichardt, and Levubu area of Limpopo and offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic, client-centric environment where attention to detail and service excellence are highly valued. Key Responsibilities Provide underwriting and claims support to Advisers across Personal and Commercial Lines. Prepare quotations according to client needs analyses and insurer requirements. Compile quote comparisons and commercial policy summaries for client discussions. Process accepted quotations and prepare onboarding documentation. Ensure compliance requirements and supporting documentation are correctly obtained and uploaded. Manage policy amendments, renewals, cancellations, and related client communication. Facilitate insurer surveys and confirmation of cover requirements. Maintain client files, asset registers, renewal schedules, and SharePoint records. Process and oversee claims, maintaining accurate records and communication between all stakeholders. Liaise with clients, insurers, assessors, service providers, and finance houses. Support compliance audits and commission reconciliation processes. Coordinate team meetings and maintain accurate meeting records. Job Experience and Skills Required Grade 12 \/ Matric. NQF Level 4 Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (150 credits). RE5 Certificate. Minimum 5 years' Personal Lines underwriting experience within the short-term insurance industry. Commercial Lines experience. Fully computer literate in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook). Fluent in English and at least one other South African official language.
