POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing underwriters.
Set and implement underwriting strategies to achieve profitability and growth targets.
Oversee the evaluation and pricing of complex risks across multiple business lines.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Sales) to optimise portfolio performance.
Ensure governance, compliance, and risk appetite alignment within underwriting frameworks.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education: Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
Experience: 8+ years of solid underwriting experience within insurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Proven success in driving team performance and underwriting profitability.
Proficiency in underwriting systems and advanced Excel skills.
