SUMMARY:
Datacentrix is looking for a Veeam Support Engineer to support 300 servers in a mining environment with a focus on backup management using Veeam. Must have 3 + years’ Veeam backup and reporting experience and Hyper-V administration.

POSITION INFO:
Required:

Matric and MCSE or VMCE
IT qualification
3 + years’ Veeam backup and reporting experience in :
- Cloud Services: M365, Azure, Mimecast
- Virtualisation: MS Hyper-V Administration
- Operating Systems: Microsoft Server 2008 - 2022
- MS infrastructure: Active Director, SQL, SCCM, Clustering
- Backups: Veeam
- Monitoring: N-Central
- Supporting M365

Responsibilities:

Backup management of servers and workstations
Assist with escalations from 1st line support engineers
Provide 2nd line datacentre software support
Preventative maintenance (Patch management)
Remediate issues identified by audit and monthly reporting
