POSITION INFO:
Employer Description Our client specialises in industrial communication systems Job Description You will be responsible to monitor workplace activities to ensure that all staff, contractors, vendors, suppliers and partners comply with Health and Safety Standards, ISO standards and the QMS system policies and regulations. Duties will include but not limited to: Manage, maintain and improve the company Health & Safety Management System in line with audited requirements and the ISO standards Manage health and safety files of all departments Participate in and support Internal teams in proposal preparation, contract Implementation, ensuring effective control of Health and Safety System documentation, producing scheduled reports for Management, etc. Provide H&S guidelines and input to questionnaires, pre-qualifications, tenders, and contracts Serve as safety consultant on construction and space planning projects; conducts workplace or site assessments and reviews work activities such as working at heights or request permits to work from customer Liaises with all departments internally and externally (external auditors) Schedules and participates in management reviews of the quality system Performing corrective action investigations Act as lead auditor with strong emphasis on H&S regulation requirements Identify process and product deficiencies and research improvements Train new and current employees. Initiating and coordinating training plan and updating information for personnel on training matrix. Facilitates all forms of risk assessment e.g. general, fire prevention Implemented and conduct health and safety inspections and audits program including the completion of documentation of compliance and corrective actions taken or to be taken Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports Compile monthly reports for the Customer, attending daily\/weekly\/monthly meetings with the customer Coordinate weekly safety talks in the workplace Qualifications Relevant Degree\/Diploma or equivalent in the H&S SACMPC Certificate National Safety Diploma \/ NEBOSH will be an advantage Grade 12 Samtac or equivalent HIRA - Advance Incident Investigator - Advance ISO 45001 & 9001 NEBOSH Skills Min 8 years' experience in enforcing the OHS Act within organisation Broad knowledge of legislation related to OHS Act, Regulation, Policies, Procedures on Health and Safety practical experience on implementing health and safety in the workplace including contractor management Experience in ISO audits and auditing processes Must be able to communicate with all levels of management Fleet management - Weekly \/ monthly reports
