Our client, one of South Africa’s largest and most progressive banks, is looking for a Vice President: Corporate Development & M&A to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job & Company Description:
Our client’s Corporate Development Team is looking for a professional to assist in the management and implementation of their mergers and acquisition (M&A) plan. This role will be a part of the in-house corporate finance team.

Education:

CA(SA) preferred
Alternative qualifications will be considered based on related skills and experience
CFA qualification beneficial

Job Experience & Skills Required:

3-5 years related post-qualifying experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction services or private equity
Ability to manage the strategic M&A plan in line with senior management
Can review draft acquisitions, disposals, and JV business cases
Can execute on planning and valuations
Skilled in the efficient execution and delivery of the due diligence process
Can negotiate vital terms and legal documentation submitted to clients
Ability to manage the offer and bidding process
Competent in successfully communicating sections of activity to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
