Warehouse Superintendent

A vacancy exists in the Logistics department, for a Warehouse Superintendent. The positions are based in Rosslyn, Pretoria. The incumbent will report directly to the Logistics Manager. The position is graded as P08

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
• National Diploma in Logistics Management, Operations/Production Management or relevant qualification
• 3-5 years experience in warehousing within a manufacturing or FMCG industry.
• 1-2 years experience in a supervisory position
• At least 1 years of experience in ERP systems i.e. JDE, Kronos, Qlickview

Key responsibilities will include:
• Ensure the effective and efficient supervision of the warehouse functions, including, picking, packing, stock control, receiving and dispatch
• Perform effective and efficient management of stock within the Plant
• Ensure stock productivity targets are met daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Ensure all stock can be accounted for (98% accuracy)
• Inventory administration and ensure that stock movement is captured 100% on the system.
• Proactively manage receiving, dispatching, and general warehouse duties.
• Oversee the safe receipt and storage of stock within the warehouse.
• Check daily branch stock levels with all role-players.
• Pro-actively liaise with all role-players to ensure that outstanding stock is followed up and that stock levels is adjusted accordingly.
• Plan the arrangement of stock within the warehouse according to company standards.
• Ensure health and safety standards and requirements are met within the warehouse
• Ensure the effective and efficient management of employees
• Management of third-party warehouse
• Management of customer complaints and queries
• Partake in all Excellence Activities in the business as part of the continuous improvement initiatives.
