Warehouse and Distribution Manager - Lichtenburg

SUMMARY:
Manage the warehouse operations. Manage the activities for distribution and warehouse activities. Ensure HSE Compliance within the warehouse operations. Maintain distribution and warehouse integrity

POSITION INFO:

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience Distribution and Warehousing, Inventory control and management.
• Degree/Diploma in Supply chain management or Distribution and Warehousing
• Computer Literacy is a must with SAP as an advantage.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Knowledge of the agriculture sector is an advantage.
• An understanding of HSE policies is an advantage.
• To be able to focus on People, Processes and Procedures.
• Fluent in English and local language.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the Commercial team to ensure area budgets/forecast are achieved.
• Liaise with the other site managers on inventory replenishments.
• Liaise with the Finance team in all areas which impact finance
• Liaise with the Production team on Inventory availability and ensure product quality is adhered to as well as production goals are achieved.
• In conjunction with the Technical team ensure Customer complaints are dealt with and settled as fast as possible as well as make product available for test and trials.
• Ensure product availability for Research and Development.
• Ensure zero variance on inventory and high standards of housekeeping
• Building stronger Customer Relations.
• Focusing on Key Customer Account Management
• Motivation of warehouse teams.

People management:

• Developing, Coaching and leading the distribution and warehouse teams.
• Performance and development process – Goal setting and monitoring quarterly.
• Develop key employees within the teams.(succession planning).
• FCPA
• Ensure full compliance.
• Ensure Freedom to operate compliance.
