Wholesale Sales Rep | Joburg | Footwear and Apparel Retailer

We are looking for a dynamic and competent Wholesale Sales Rep to join the team in Houghton Estate, Johannesburg. The purpose of the role is selling in of product within the Retail Wholesale Channel. It is vital that the Sales Rep must understand the footwear and apparel market and has worked in similar positions. They need to have a good network of established retailers in the marketplace.

The main responsibility of the role will be to sell, promote and create brand awareness of the Footwear and Apparel retail brands’ range of footwear, apparel and accessories.

You will also be required to call on footwear retailers, ladies and men’s outfitters, corporate customers, department stores, etc. To achieve budgets set out and achieve market growth across the genders and categories. Furthermore, you will need to be able to identify and develop new customers and channel opportunities. The Wholesale Sales Rep will make use of business intelligence and reporting to have informed engagements with customers.

Skills and Experience required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field

- Proven work experience as a Sales Rep in the footwear / apparel industry

- Familiarity with sales tracking software

- Complete understanding of inventory management software

- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills

- Ability to conduct market research

- Detail-oriented and customer-centric individual

- Problem-solving ability

- Good computer skills

- Excellent multitasking and organisational skills

- Ability to manage stressful situations

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong leadership skills

- Ability to leverage business-building opportunities

Salary negotiable depending on experience
