SUMMARY:
Workshop Manager
POSITION INFO:
The workshop manager is responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the mechanical workshop(s)
and all plant & equipment, small plant & LDV’s hired out. The manager is responsible for budgets for the purchase of
materials, fixings and fastenings and machine tools to ensure the smooth progression of projects through the
workshop. Responsible for management of all Operators and Field service Technicians
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of technicians and administrative staff
- Manage technicians’ work load, performance and work quality
- Perform maintenance on plant as required
- Stock management of critical spares
- Manage control and standard of workshop equipment and housekeeping
- Planning and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules
- Implement and maintain health and safety procedures & ISO quality requirements
- Initiate cost and manage critical improvement projects across all operational areas
- Manage repairs and maintenance budget
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with 10 years experience on construction plant & equipment
- At least 5 years’ experience as workshop manager / management role
- Proficient in MS Office
