ACCOUNTANT CA (SA) - FMCG

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to oversee accurate financial reporting, implement robust processes, and provide actionable insights that support business growth.

POSITION INFO:
What You’ll Do:

• Manage recording and reporting of all financial transactions in compliance with IFRS
• Ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, reconciliations, and reporting
• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and variance analysis
• Prepare management reports and dashboards to inform decision-making
• Identify weaknesses in existing processes and implement fit-for-purpose internal controls
• Document workflows, accounting processes, and SOPs to strengthen accountability
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Support audits with thorough preparation and engagement with auditors
• Conduct credit risk reviews and monitor collections and exposure
• Mentor and train finance team members to enhance skills and operational discipline
• Introduce dashboards and process automation to improve efficiency and transparency

• Qualified CA(SA), registered with SAICA
• 3–5 years post-articles experience in finance/accounting
• Proven experience in internal controls, process documentation, and audit preparation
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and compliance requirements
• Experience with ERP/financial systems (SAP or similar)
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or production industries preferred
• Self-starter with initiative, accountability, and attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• High integrity and professionalism
